This presentation will provide an in-depth analysis of ENT provider compensation plans, including their types, advantages, and disadvantages. Participants will learn how these plans impact quality, provider recruitment and retention, and practice revenue. The session will also cover best practices and challenges in implementing and managing provider compensation plans.

Brad Reay

KSM, Director, Healthcare Consulting

Brad Reay is a director of healthcare consulting with Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Healthcare Resources Group. With more than 25 years of healthcare and business experience, Brad provides fair market value opinions and commercial reasonableness assessments for hospitals and health systems, medical groups, academic institutions, and other healthcare entities to ensure provider compensation arrangements are compliant with evolving regulatory requirements. Brad also oversees compliance initiatives related to provider services arrangements, including employment, independent contractor, gain-sharing, co-management, call coverage, medical administrative, physician executive, academic, and recruitment. Additionally, he designs progressive provider compensation arrangements, including those related to the transition from fee-for-services to value-based care and provides ongoing consulting support for negotiations of services agreements involving both employed and independent providers. Brad led a team that provided valuation support in defense of a large health system in a federal whistle-blower lawsuit. He also provides ongoing valuation support for a large health system’s employed medical group that includes more than 1,400 providers representing more than 75 clinical specialties. 

Brad received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. 

Brad is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), and the American Association of Provider Compensation Professionals (AAPCP). He currently serves as the Treasurer on the board of directors of Indiana Wish. Brad also actively serves as a volunteer at Eskenazi Health through their No One Dies Alone program and as a reading tutor to third graders through the United Way of Central Indiana’s ReadUp program. He is an active member of Cornerstone Lutheran Church, where among other leadership capacities he previously served as the chairman of the Governing Board.
