The American Medical Association (AMA) has released the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) 2027 code set, introducing some of the most sweeping structural transformations seen in years. Effective January 1, 2027, legacy codes for core services are being completely deleted and replaced by highly granular, complexity-based, and time-based coding systems.
